302 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Its chemical composition depends considerably on reasonable alloy design to achieve a series of excellent properties.
302 stainless steel has classy plasticity and toughness and is suitable for various processing techniques, including cold working, so it can be manufactured in different shapes. And 302 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, especially excellent in media such as oxidizing acids, atmosphere, steam and water. However, 302 stainless steel is not suitable for intergranular corrosion environments, so it is not recommended for use in environments that can cause intergranular corrosion. The chemical composition and performance characteristics of 302 stainless steel make it an ideal material for a variety of applications, including the manufacture of structural parts, weldments, non-magnetic components and cryogenic device components.
