302 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel consisting partially of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Its chemical composition is reliant heavily on reasonable alloy design to fulfill a number of excellent properties.
302 stainless steel bar is suitable for various processing techniques like cold working, because of its excellent plasticity and toughness. So it can be manufactured in different shapes. 302 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, especially in media such as oxidizing acids, atmosphere, steam and water. However, it is not a suitable option for intergranular corrosion environments, so uses should be avoided in environments with risks of intergranular corrosion. Both the chemical composition and performance characteristics of 302 stainless steel bars make them ideal manufacturing part for a variety of applications, including the manufacture of structural parts, weldments, non-magnetic components and cryogenic device components.
